YOUR ROLE

As a Planning Manager working within our operation in Kettering, you will play a key role in driving improvement across 4 customer contracts, ensuring the operational layout and systems are fit for purpose, whilst partnering with the Contract Managers to improve quality and efficiency.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Stock & Planning Manager, your role will be focused on creating, embedding and evolving a single labor planning tool that allows performance reporting and tracking, trend analysis, forecasting and easily identifying discrepancies that will help you to drive continuous improvement initiatives to save cost and improve quality across the site. Leading a small team of 3 Planners, you will look at ways to optimize the site setup, physically in terms of efficient layout and systematically in terms of WMS (Warehouse Management System) process flow to ensure the operational team are working as efficiently as possible.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who comes with labor management experience and knowledge of resource modelling, ideally from a stock, inventory or planning background, who has also managed their own planning team.

You will need to be a confident WMS user with experience interrogating and optimizing the system in order to analyse key operational data, and be an advanced user of Microsoft packages especially excel and powerpoint.

Although a lot of your time will be spent working with systems and data, you will have a responsibility to communicate and present back to customers and the operational team, therefore you’ll need fantastic interpersonal skills and be confident interacting with people at all levels.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?

With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a fantastic holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance along with access to an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and money off vouchers for a diverse range of retail, travel and hospitality brands. There’s no doubt that you will be compensated for your hard work and commitment so if you’d like to work for one of the top Logistics providers in the world then please do get in touch to find your next role.
