YOUR ROLE

This position requires operational and technical expertise and knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and the ability to manage and drive transportation system projects as a Project Manager. This individual should have the capability to manage and driving comprehensive and complex IT work streams in regional TMS projects from inception to delivery including requirements gathering, functional design, change management, risk management, testing and deployment planning.

The candidate should have prior pre-sales experience and is able to configure and implement TMS hands-on. Extensive knowledge of transport operations is also a must. This resource interacts with internal and external customers, CEVA IT department managers, and various technical teams. The resource uses consultative skills to drive project momentum, manage expectations/risks, communicate effectively, and fronts the operations/business in solution meetings. 

 

 WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Subject Matter Expert in the TMS application(s) and related processes from a functional point of view. Provide system demonstrations as needed to Management or customer executives.
  • Manage TMS projects from a proper project management point of view, from inception through delivery ensuring completion of the project objectives on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Configure, implement and deliver TMS & EDI projects for large customers with the support of internal and external solutions and work stream leads. Necessary training will be provided.
  • Develop detailed project charter and plan (goals, objectives, strategy, scope, budget, scheduling, risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, approach, requirements, deliverables, timelines, use cases, test case, and training needs) utilizing project management disciplines and methodologies including process analysis, mapping and flow charting to ensure synchronization of processes and systems.
  • Engage key stakeholders, define and coordinate activities, communicate changes and progress, build commitment, overcome resistance, implement change management and lead the project. Conduct regularly scheduled project briefings regarding status, issues, and challenges with all levels of business unit, business sponsors and management for all projects and implementations.
  • Utilizing a wide range of skills to influence and drive projects, being objective when needed. Collect metrics on system usage and provide insights into operational challenges
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to develop other team members, including training and knowledge transfer. Responsible for all administrative activities for the team.
  • Create automation solution (post training), using Automation anywhere.

 

 WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 5+ years hands on implementation and project management experience with Transport Management Systems
  • Functional knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS)
  • 5+ years in transport/freight management domain
  • 5+ years project management of a team of IT professionals
  • Business acumen and solid knowledge of applications and implementing logistics technologies. Knowledge in project management methodologies is required.
  • Able to manage self and team effectively in a dynamic, matrix environment. Able to guide customers towards the solution that best fits their needs and aligns with CEVA’s technical capabilities. Able to manage the pressures of cost-effectively selling the right solution and pushing back where needed.
  • Able to translate technical terms to operational teams and vice versa. Able to perform functional analysis and produce effective business requirements documentation. Possess analytical skills enabling trouble-shooting.
  • Capable of delivering written and graphical work products and presentation materials.
  • Skilled in presenting technology solution to internal / external customers in formal or informal situations
  • Fluent and articulate in Business English

  • Interface effectively with customers or others associated with the project or assignment.
