HR Coordinator


Are you known for your attention to detail and coordination skills? Are you passionate about finding the perfect candidate? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to provide administrative support for HR and employment related activities.




  • Support the recruitment and staffing functions in a contract facility; and provides core customer service and administrative support to clients and employees with general human resources, benefits, employment and payroll questions.

  • Coordinate and schedules employment interviews for exempt and non-exempt candidates.
  • Process and track job requisitions including entering requisitions into the recruiting system and tracking candidates.
  • Facilitate job offers and coordinates the distribution of new hire packages.
  • Review, verify and process all new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness, including coordinating and verifying benefits enrollment information with candidates.
  • Assist with "on-boarding" new hires.
  • Prepare and process termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate the processing of time cards and enters hours into the payroll system.
  • Track and maintain time-off requests
  • Use Excel to create labor management and other business-related reports
  • Tracks turnover and prepares reports for distribution to managers.
  • Manage information; organize and maintain paper and electronic files, ensuring files are udpated and maintained on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Plan/coordinate and perform Employee Engagement Activities
  • Perform various special projects as needed
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Answer routine telephone calls, providing information to callers, including senior management and key external sources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Summary of Experience and Education

     High School Degree or GED required.

  • Associate's Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum three years related experience in Human Resources, Benefits or Payroll administration.
  • Minimum two years industry experience preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Demonstrated ability to compose, edit and proof read written documents (routine letters, business correspondence and reports of varying complexity).
  • Ability to produce error-free documents from rough draft involving a standard business vocabulary, or a limited range of specialized recurrent terminology.
  • Skilled in the creation of spreadsheets, reports, charts, and graphs.
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledgeable of company policies, practices and operations.
  • Must be flexible, able to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to display a strong sense of urgency and good judgement.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and sense of humor.
  • Ability to support team members in furthering departmental goals through open and honest communication, promoting team interests over self-interest.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
  • Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, clients and vendors.
