Sales Associate


 CEVA Logistics is hiring highly motivated, self-starters who are interested in beginning their professional career with a global company in full service logistics for our Entry level Sales Associate Program.  Ideal candidates are driven, well organized, able to multitask, and possess the intellectual curiosity and academic prowess to interact with B2B and B2C executives throughout the country and around the globe. Our Sales Associate (SA) plays a key role in the Sales and Marketing process for CEVA and is an entry level professional position.  SA will engage with customers across various industries with multiple client interfacing platforms.  Selected personnel will be expected to understand and utilize the internet, phone applications, professional networks and various other marketing skills, to sell and educate various customers on logistics solutions.   SA offers excellent stable base compensation with unlimited commission.  First year earning potential $75k plus.     

Position is strongly preferred to be based at the corporate office in Houston, TX, but candidates near other major market locations may be considered (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, etc.).  Ideal candidate will be willing to relocate nationally (after 18-24 months) into a higher level role within the organization (either operationally or commercially) and will be criteria for consideration.   This position is intended to be an entry level position into CEVA Logistics with exponential opportunity to advance your career and become a part of a great organization in any field/function you are qualified for based on your desire and expertise.  Priority consideration given to Veterans of the US Military and military experience considered similar to education.    



  • Responsible for detailed coordination of the front end of the commercial pipeline for the organization.  Capable of fielding questions and resolving customer issues in a timely manner. 
  • Identifies new sales opportunities by researching potential clients and sourcing qualified leads within the sales process.
  • Constructs prospective sales pipelines, allocating prospects and opportunities across the sales department with a focus approach to their specific team
  • Investigate previously identified targets to determine the validity and value of generating new business.
  • Initiates in-depth meetings with outside sales representatives to determine the correct evaluation of each commercial opportunity.
  • Hits and exceeds agreed sales KPIs, and monthly registration targets.  Creates and maintains records of all sales and marketing activities in CRM system with weekly reporting to the department head.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of our diverse portfolio of products, services and operations offered, and actively participate in product training sessions.
  • Research and gain in-depth market knowledge in various industry verticals providing logistics solutions to customers.
  • Serves as a liaison between the sales team, route development, marketing and customer experience departments.
  • Ensures that all outreach activities adhere to organizational sales objectives and requirements.
  • Capable of navigating the latest internet and application technology to facilitate detailed investigation of potential client interaction.
  • Educate the field sales executives on the appropriate methodology required to capture and maintain customer intimacy.



  • Bachelor Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work/military experience in lieu of degree will be considered. 
  • Minimum one year related experience in sales preferred
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications required
  • Interest and ability for national relocation after 18-24 months strongly preferred, opportunities for global relocation also available if desired by candidate
  • Must be able to interact with all clients and ask probing questions about their business model and supply chain functions.
  • Must be motivated by setting and achieving goals  continuously while measuring performance in comparison to their goals will be critical component of position
  • Must possess lack of discouragement with ability to handle emotional disappointments, bounce back from losses, and mentally prepare for the next opportunity to compete
  • Must possess lack of Self-Consciousness and comfortable fighting for their cause, not afraid of rankling customers in the process. Will be action-oriented and unafraid to interact with customers within all levels of their organization.  Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve results.  Must be able to work with action oriented, highly motivated, dynamic team members.
  • Self-motivated. Able to achieve results by working independently with little or no supervision
  • Must have strongly developed persuasive skills with excellent interpersonal communication and strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must be highly adaptable to changing environmental needs of clients and goals of the company
  • Must have strong problem solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues.
  • Effective planning and organization skills required to manage both internal and external customer expectations and to meet highly influential deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze moderately complex administrative details
  • Comfortable with data and able to cross reference various data sets to understand and optimize job performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
