IT Director - Contract Logistics Customer Engagement



Are you the person who always ensures that key IT solutions are designed in such a way that they provide a compelling and effective solution for our customers? Would you like to use your knowledge and skills to help the company in new business wins and allow operations to successfully operate?


We are seeking a candidate with deep knowledge of 3PL Contract Logistics IT Landscape and Operations across various verticals. The ideal candidate should have experience in CL sales/business development cycle including RFP/RFI process, prepare and presenting IT Contract Logistics solutions to potential clients.


This person must have demonstrated experience in Contract Logistics IT solutions including WMS, TMS, WCS/WES, Integration, Business Intelligence Tools, Parcel Carrier integration, and other surrounding subsystems. Must champion and advocate for innovative CL IT solutions and be able to professionally and effectively present proposed IT solutions to the Business and potential customers.  





  • Ownership of the Contract Logistics IT Business Development Team
  • Provide leadership and development to a team of IT Contract Logistics Customer Engagement Professionals
  • Facilitate the IT portion of the sales process to gather and document customer requirements
  • Uses expert knowledge of IT Contract Logistics landscape including WMS, TMS, BI, OpRep, Integration, Parcel Shipping solutions, and others to provide expert guidance and assistance in selecting proper IT solutions for clients
  • Develop and approve quotations for the IT portion of new sales opportunities/RFPs
  • Partner with Global IT Development, Business Development, Solutions Design/Engineering, Key Account Managers, and Operations Business Unit leaders
  • Prepare and present IT relevant material to potential clients from RFI responses through final solutions presentations
  • Provide effective turnover of awarded business to IT Project Delivery teams
  • Keep current on, and help to drive IT product strategy for CEVA Contract Logistics
  • Liaise with other functions from IT side to share information about CEVA’s IT solutions, capabilities, and development roadmaps


Together with other IT Experts, you will work closely with our Business development organization, our Contract Logistics, Supply Chain Solutions, Ground and Freight Management Business Lines, and our Global IT community.




  • 10+ years of experience in Contract Logistics with exposure on the warehouse floor with knowledge of operational processes across a variety of business verticals
  • 5+ years of relevant Contract Logistics IT Solutions Design experience
  • 3+ years responding to RFPs/RFIs and presenting IT solutions to potential clients
  • Proven experience with WMS implementation and related systems, preferable for large complex projects and customers
  • Proven strategic management and leadership experience including direct management of people and processes

  • Cross-function management experience including people and process management
  • Consistent utilization of best practices and methodologies to ensure demand management and planning projects portfolio management, and support for customers are met
  • Ability to understand inter-dependencies between IT and business initiatives to effectively leverage resources
  • Proven experience implementing IT solutions and communicating with high-profile customers
  • Knowledge of IT, Finance, Budgets, and Proposal Management
  • Ability to review and change processes to achieve best practice standards
